GODREJ... Or maybe GOD (RAGE) !

Well there’s nothing like the excitement of shifting into a new house. But I guess the hardest part is to let go of your old stuff. Not that I belong to this category but my Mom sure DOES. (I love to throw out old stuff, after all what can be a better excuse to buy newer things: P). Feeds my insatiable appetite for shopping, at least for a couple of days.
So all this revolves around a 50 year old LEGENDARY Godrej Almirah. (Okay IL stops exaggerating, it is actually 25 yrs old: D). Yes, those ugly, bulky, grey colored, metallic monster of a thing ones. And we had two of these.  Afterall my Mom too belongs to the super shopaholic category and her stuff occupies more than half the storage space at home. Anyway that’s another story.
After a lot of contemplation and endless discussions we decide to sell of one of them. (Although I wanted both of these out, but in vain: P). It had actually become a bone of contention.
Anyway getting rid of even one was a herculean task. Cut to the ‘Kabaadiwala’... Mind it he’s not your usual cart riding, screeching in the street guy. He’s fancy and would act pricey if you try to haggle too much. Part of the job I see ;)
KW: Iska 3000 milega. Wow I thought. Good enough to buy a dress from Mango (considering the sale is on: P). My Mom on the other hand starts to gets all hysterical. Only 3K… Im not giving it away. It’s a part of my ‘DAHEJ’.
Me: Oh my freakin Gawd, Mamma can we please not get into all this!
Mom: You just do not have any emotions! Huh!
Me: What??Dazed!! EMO for an almirah. Please… For this eyesore of a thing :P
Dad: Laughing
Me: Evil Grin: P
KW: Now getting impatient!

I actually hate the noise it makes when you open it. Exemplifies cacophony!
And shutting it is another story.
Step 1: Push the handle up
Step 2: Try Again... LOL
Step 3: A mighty kick or a thumka... Hahaha!
Step 4: Mission Accomplished; (If you’re lucky). Otherwise go back to Step 1.
It can qualify to be another dance form I say.

So we finally bid goodbye to the LEGENDARY Almirah. Phew! One helluva task.
Just that my Mom refused to cook that day. (Even better! Not that I know how to cook, another reason to order out yet again ;)
